Gunslinger feels way more fluid, their skills look cooler, and the damage uptime is FAR easier on Gunslinger than Deadeye. Also, GS is very straightforward to play.The class can stay at mid range and just dish out damage even if the guardian gets in your face you can just shield or use a ability with protection ruin or one of the build in shields in the damaging abilities.
