I filled the box with 25 gold veggies I already had and then tried to grow 25 gold to meet both sides of the quest. I didn't grow all 25 and failed the quest, but I couldn't get the 25 I already turned in back. It was only added with the 1.5 update and is a quest from the other noticeboard added with that update that has a quest every Monday, so that might be why! It says to deposit at Pierre's and when the quest is active, the box has a yellow arrow or exclamation point or question mark I think above it, so you know where to goPlaying SV 1.5 Encountered a Pierre event at 7 hearts. I believe it's probably just random, actually. I've gotten rewards back even in seasons that I've spent /nothing/ at Pierre's. The wiki lists the money as being tied to your friendship level with him-- the game presumes if you've got a high friendship with Pierre, you must be visiting his store often to shop (since he's seldom seen outside the store to talk with)..
